The opportunity has arisen to progress your career with this leading boutique construction consultancy to work in the Project Management team. They have developed an enviable track record of delivering projects for over 35 years on behalf of major blue chip organisations who repeatedly return to utilise this consultancies services. Reporting to the Associate in charge of the Project Management team, you will be given the opportunity to take and run projects from inception through to completion, making sure that Projects are delivered in a timely manner, and to the client’s satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing scopes of work, appointment documents, programmes, and communication strategies
  • Providing advice on procurement, contracts (JCT), logistics plans, construction plans and particular conditions
  • Preparing and evaluating the contractor and consultant selection process
  • Processing and developing change control documentation
  • Attending client meetings and reporting on project progress
  • Providing support to Cost Managers on projects
  • Maintaining clients throughout the course of the project and post practical completion until issues of the defects liability certificate
  • Communicate clearly and concisely when dealing with clients, managing expectations effectively and sensitively
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a Project Manager’s role, through well thought out work

  • Lead projects with limited supervision and guidance, delivering on time and within budget
  • Actively engage in business development, seeking new ways to add value to the business
  • Manage own workload, to successfully run multiple projects at one time 

The successful Project Manager will have:

  • Relevant experience working as a Project Manager within a similar environment
  • Experience working on projects administered using JCT or NEC forms of contact
  • You will have great interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and project stakeholders.
