An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager with this relatively new main contractor. Established as a separate construction arm for one of London’s most successful private Property Development businesses, this main contractor has been able to begin operations of delivering large multi-million pound major projects from the start, without competition, thanks to the financial backing and nature of its partner company.
2021 is set to be a very good year for the business as they already have a packed order book and £100m worth of work due to start in the first half of the year alone.
Given the age and size of the business this is a great opportunity for a Project Manager with aspirations of progressing to running multiple projects or leading a region / business unit as Director while this cash-rich business continues to grow.
The business is set up to provide new build and fit-out project delivery services operating out of its London office. Current and completed projects have been commercial, mixed use or residential new builds and/or fit-outs.
The initial project lined up for the successful Project Manager is located in Croydon and is a £70m build of RC frame block of high end apartments to be delivered over 2 phases. The works includes the build of commercial and leisure space. Demolition begins imminently so you will run the project right from the start.
- This is a no.1 on Site Project Manager Role leading the scheme from start to completion in its entirety.
- A Site team of Managers and Assistants (which you’ll help put together) will report into the chosen Project Manager who in turn will report into the office-based Directors.
- Experience running sizeable commercial construction projects will be necessary and, given the size and duration of this project, this employer will prefer CVs which demonstrate a stable work history, having spent multiple years with previous employers respectively.
- There will be the need to visit the London office sometimes during the first couple of months.
- This is a permanent opportunity with a Main Contractor and a similar background is necessary. Developer background can unfortunately not be considered nor will freelance.
