This company prides itself in delivering an excellent service to their clients and has been successfully operating with the power distribution and new connections sectors for many years.  Owned by people who have spent their working lives within the HV industry, they have recently secured a significant contract with a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and are looking for a Project Manager / SAP to cover works in North West England.

Duties:

• Oversee the construction of HV connections and associated installations
• Lead projects to a successful close, on time and within budget
• Ensure adherence to health and safety on site
• Manage contractors working on HV network and electrical / civil installation
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
• Liaise with local authorities, Highways Agency and Distribution Network Operators (DNO)
• Carry out High Voltage (HV) switching on the power distribution network
• Be on call one week in three

Requirements:

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Experience working on HV projects as a Project Manager or Senior Authorised Person with a DNO or Independent Connection Provider (ICP)
• Ideally hold SAP status with Scottish Power at 11kV or for an IDNO or private network
