Due to ongoing demands we are now seeking a Project Engineer to join our team who will help to maintain the high quality that we offer.

Primary Objective

As a Project Engineer you will be an integral part in contributing towards ongoing success and prized reputation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer with Construction/Civil Infrastructure, Design and Build experience, or for an experienced Senior Site Engineer looking for a new challenge, who can demonstrate their skills within a forward thinking and diverse organisation.

This is a hands-on project-based role where you will be responsible for leading a team of Engineers, ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish; and are completed on schedule, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.

You should be a team player with strong leadership skills. A passion for delivering a first-class service to our clients and customers is a key element for success in this role.

Dimensions of the role

  • The understanding of project objectives, ensuring they are met in accordance with the client’s requirements
  • Ultimate responsibility to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget whilst maintaining highest standards
  • Project audits, evaluation & re-engineering
  • The responsibility and management of project resource and materials
  • Ensuring quality, safety and contractual standards are maintained
  • Reporting to the Project Manager on project progress via verbal communications and electronic system updates
  • Statistical control of projects, including financial and performance analysis reporting

Description of the role

  • Liaison with Account/Operations/Project Manager to ensure the understanding and defining of goals within a project
  • Project audits, evaluation & re-engineering using our in-house software system
  • The approval of RAMS, ensuring pre-install health and safety risks are identified and controlled
  • Working with our Operations Team to conclude project programming and resource management
  • Materials planning and management, using in-house software and communication methods to ensure materials are procured in line with project demands
  • The supervision of all on-site staff (Internal and Sub-Contractors)
  • Responsibility for on-site Quality Control compliance
  • Responsibility for on-site Health and Safety compliance
  • Regular and professional interaction with key clients, ensuring they are kept informed of progress and are satisfied with our service deliverables
  • Project monitoring and analysis using in-house software, presenting statistics to the management team
  • Reporting resource performance to the Operations Team
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all tasks and reporting
  • To attend meetings, training sessions and conferences as required
  • To act at all times in accordance with the company’s rules, policies and procedures
  • Responsibility for any company equipment which may include but is not limited to; personal issue items, shared plant items, company vehicles and ‘hired in’ equipment
  • To wear company attire including staff uniform and all appropriate PPE
  • Ad hoc duties as appropriate to the role and the business requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven Experience in Construction/Civil industry as an Infrastructure Engineer or higher
  • Organised and methodical
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional quality standards
  • Good business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in team
  • Excellent knowledge of computer applications
  • Flexible working attitude
  • Willingness to travel
  • Full/Clean UK Driving Licence
  • ECS/CSCS Card or equivalent
  • SSSTS Card
