Procurement Specialist - Kent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Specialist to work within the public sector. This is a great opportunity to work for a fantastic company who have a great track record with their staff.

As Procurement Specialist you will be:

Procuring large-scale contracts, this would include ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

Producing tendering and contract documents, including KPIs in liaison with other teams and external advisors, ensuring contracts achieve value for money through innovative packaging, with the view to cost savings and improved service levels.

Evaluating procurement options for contracts including the use of external frameworks and consortia, incorporating management of the supply chain where appropriate. Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

Ensuring regulatory and governance compliance.  In particular, comply with the legal requirements regarding publicly funded procurement including relevant notifications via the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). Monitoring contracts in liaison with other teams to ensure compliance with contract conditions and making recommendations to ensure continuous improvement.

Essential criteria:

You will be MCIPS qualified

Experienced working within a public sector and private sector organisation preferably with over 3 years’ experience within maintenance procurement

Have an extensive knowledge of budgets and MS programs
