Procurement Quantity Surveyor (Major Infrastructure & Tunnelling)

Salary:  to £55k + package + bonus

Based:  SE London (SE10)

About the Project:

One of London’s most prestigious major infrastructure projects is underway, and it requires a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor, to initially do Procurement, to join the team!

Its 1 of the 3 mega schemes underway in London that is going to involve major tunnelling and roadworks, incorporating exciting engineering techniques and delivered by a leading engineering JV with outstanding reputations in the UK and globally.

About the Role:

Working closely with the Procurement Lead, as a Quantity Surveyor, the initial 12 months of your role will see you get involved in sub-contract procurement duties.  After this period of time you will then take up a role within the post-construction team and manage these packages of work.  The packages of work are mostly all heavy civils incorporating tunnelling / piling / structures / new roads / major utility diversions will be £50m+ in value. 

About You:

• Have major civils experience
• Past sub-contract procurement experience
• Ideally degree qualified or chartered
• Ability to work independently
• Good eye for detail and able to spot commercial opportunity
• Good client interfacing skills
• Have a structured career history, showing progression
