Pre-Construction Manager (civils)

Salary:  £90k + package (negotiable)

Based:  West London (W5)

An excellent opportunity to join an established contractor with exciting growth plans for their Infrastructure division!

About the Company:

A few years back this respected contractor embarked on developing a civils and infrastructure division, servicing a number of market sectors. In 2021, they are sitting on a £25m portfolio of work for the year, have developed revenue streams from 3 sectors of the market and have some exciting but realistic growth plans for the coming years. Existing contracts can range from HS2, Thames and Nuclear.  They are a sub-contractor delivering groundworks, formwork and general civils.

About the role of Pre-Construction Manager:

To manage the operational aspects of the tendering and pre-construction process. Working alongside the Estimating Manager and reporting into the Civils Director, together the team will deliver accurate and competitive tenders. The purpose ultimately will be to increase the percentage wins from tender to awards. Specific daily duties can be forwarded or discussed following a conversation about the role.

About You:

• Looking for an opportunity to join a progressive, forward thinking and ambitious contractor
• Have an innovative approach to the way you handle your work and go about problem solving
• Awareness and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience within the civils sector in either rail, highways, water, aviation or nuclear (mixture would be advantageous but not essential)
• Be able to utilise BIM / innovative ideas to secure new work
• The contracts being delivered could vary from NEC and JCT, but the key would be the NEC experience. The company are seen as a sub-contractor within the civils market but they would be open to those with main contractor experience.  the key attribute is about the individual, the value they can add and if it’s a right fit for both parties.
