Planner - Hertfordshire

About the company:

This company is a specialist RC Frame and Groundworks contractor who works across the south of England. Due to their reputation and with nearly 30 years of industry experience, they are able to offer a robust and reliable solution to their client base.

The Position:

Based in Borehamwood, as the chosen Planner you would have ideally spent a part of your career on building sites as an Engineer, Project Manager or similar, preferably in the field of groundworks and concrete frame construction however this is not essential if you have a track record as a Planner in this sector.

With a substantial track record you will be able to demonstrate: 

• Competence in Asta software
• The ability to read, absorb and visualise information from drawings and documents, and convert this into a robust vision for construction.
• Supporting the Project & Contract Managers in producing, overseeing and monitoring of the contract and construction programmes 
• Working for a ‘Civils and Concrete Specialist’ with experience in tendering.
• Communication with Estimators and ancillary staff who produce 3D models and sketches
• Understanding methodology in terms of basement box, high-rise construction and general civils
• Broad engineering knowledge – knowing when something looks right.
• Numerate and articulate and an ability to communicate technical issues clearly

What’s in it for you?

A basic salary between £50,000 to £80,000 per annum (based on level of experience)
