Planner - Permanent - Hertfordshire - £ 60,000 to £ 90,000

A specialist in concrete frame and groundworks based in Hertfordshire. This organisation have delivered some of the UK’s most high profile projects over the last quarter century, they have a diverse client base and have built a reputation for excellence and reliability throughout the industry. They are working with some of the UK’s leading contractors and developers on projects all over London and the surrounding areas.

The Position:

With development and growth in the business, the pre-construction department have a great opportunity for a Planner to join the team. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Director, this is a head office based position, to play an integral part within the team to deliver the projects at hand within the time and budgets set. 

As the chosen Planner you would have ideally spent a part of your career on building sites as an Engineer, Project Manager or similar, preferably in the field of groundworks and concrete frame construction however this is not essential if you have a track record as a Planner in this sector.

With a substantial track record you will be able to demonstrate: 

• Competence in Asta software
• You will have the ability to read, absorb and visualise information from drawings and documents, and convert this into a robust vision for construction.
• Supporting the Project & Contract Managers in producing, overseeing and monitoring of the contract and construction programmes 
• Working for a ‘Civils and Concrete Specialist’ with experience in tendering.
• Communication with estimators and ancillary staff who produce 3D models and sketches
• Understanding methodology in terms of basement box, high-rise construction and general civils
• Broad engineering knowledge – knowing when something looks right.
• Numerate and articulate and an ability to communicate technical issues clearly

What’s in it for you?

A basic salary between £60,000 to £90,000 per annum (based on level of experience)
