Multi-Utility Project Manager - Northumberland

This opportunity for a Project Manager in the utilities sector is with an organisation that prides itself on having an excellent reputation for successfully delivering projects across the UK, although this role is focussed on Yorkshire and the North East, based from home and covering the area between Leeds and Newcastle.

The key objective of the role is to manage the delivery of multi-utility (gas, water, electricity / HV / 11kV and fibre) connections projects, ensuring the safe installation and handover of these schemes.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan the projects to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Manage the installation of multi-utility networks and new connections in line with industry standards (GIRS, NERS) and client requirements
  • Ensure health & safety is maintained on all sites
  • Hold site meetings
  • Hold client meetings and maintain close and regular contact with them
  • Make sure services are installed in the correct manner
  • Control materials and plant required to complete works
  • Manage budgets
  • Carry out site audits
  • Hold appraisals of operatives working on these utility projects

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Multi-Utility Project Manager, ideally with a bias towards gas distribution / gas connections
  • Background working for an Independent Connections Provider (ICP) or utilities contractor
  • SCO1, 2, 4 and 5
  • NRSWA Supervisor
  • SHEA Gas, SHEA Water, Water Hygiene or SHEA Power
  • Driving licence
  • Authorised Engineer status (desirable)
