This contractor is looking for an MEP Buyer who has strong knowledge of the Mechanical & Electrical industry with a bias to the Electrical side.

The Company

This is a building services contractor who specialise in the design and build of M&E services. They operate across many key market sectors with specialist divisions dedicated to the commercial, residential, healthcare and education sectors.

The Role

The chosen MEP Buyer will be responsible for day to day procurement activities for the project at hand, this will include ordering all of the M&E materials, hiring of plant requirements, logistics and delivery booking in systems. This role of MEP Buyer will also see you take responsibility for the upkeep and progress of all procurement schedules, reporting to the Project Manager on a weekly basis.

Criteria they are looking for:

• A strong understanding of the production and upkeep of the following: Procurement Schedules, Sample Schedules, Delivery Schedules and Cost Tracker Schedules.
• Understanding of M&E Sub Contractor Packages.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a project team.
• Good negotiation skills and an understanding of budget control.
• Previous site experience is ideal but not essential
• Previous experience working in procurement.
