Mechanical Engineer - Kent

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to manage a workload of projects for new and existing buildings within the social housing sector for a forward thinking progressive company that offer a range of benefits.

Initially the duration of this assignment is 6 months, there is a strong possibility this will be extended, offering the chosen Mechanical Engineer a long term work opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing designs that meet challenging targets for operational efficiency.
• Working with developers to ensure that systems selected also meet requirements for installation quality, and compliance
• Manage a workload of projects for new and existing buildings, both designing and instructing requirements.
• Work closely with all other members of the M&E Engineering Team as well as our in-house Energy Team to ensure that all building services meet business requirements
• Recommending methods of optimising systems to enable effective seasonal efficiency and provide regular reports highlighting performance.

Essentials:

• A full clean driving license and own transport.
• Experience of working with M&E contractors.
• A degree or the equivalent level of experience in a relevant subject area – e.g Mechanical Building Services Engineering.
• Full understanding of mechanical design and design processes.
• Knowledge of all aspects of Mechanical and understanding of Electrical and lift installations.
• Extensive experience of the requirements for commissioning communal and district heating.
• Extensive knowledge of CIBSE, BSRIA and RIBA codes and standards, and of all relevant legislation, including CDM2015.
