M&E Design Manager - Hertfordshire

This construction giant are seeking a meticulous MEP Design Manager to join their highly successful team and take responsibility for the design process on secured projects.

About the role:

• As the MEP Design Lead the role will be very hands on including travelling to various sites covering North of London up to Peterborough. There will be a lot of interaction with clients, consultants and colleagues particularly in the tendering department.
• Key tasks involve:
• Working closely with the tender team to review client requirements
• Check for any opportunities/inaccuracies/risks identified during tender stage
• Attending pipeline meetings, interviewing/auditing/appointing design teams
• At construction stage day to day tasks involve carrying out review of site activities and design solutions for technical compliance, undertake design performance reviews, undertake design analysis for any defects
• The project sectors will include education, pharmaceutical, student accommodation and bio medical facilities

About You:

• Previous employment working with a Consultancy or Main Contractor is essential to be considered for this role. You may already be a Design Manager looking for more responsibility or a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer ready to take a step up.
• A knowledge of BIM is highly desirable along with software including TAS and IES.
