A commercially astute Managing Quantity Surveyor is required to lead a high-end mixed use development in Tunbridge Wells.

Our client is one of the UK’s leading design and build contractors.  They have built a reputation of delivering a market leading service to a growing client base.  Their portfolio of work is mainly focused around the delivery of commercial offices, residential, mixed use and leisure with schemes ranging in values up to £500m.  They are about to embark on a prestigious £55m contract that will involve high end residential apartments linked with retail and leisure.  The duration of the scheme will be 2.5 years.

There is a need to appoint a Managing Quantity Surveyor who will take full commercial responsibility for the project.  As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing a small commercial team, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the project is delivered on time and within the financial targets set. 

The suitable Managing Quantity Surveyor will require the following experience:

  • Residential or Mixed Use project experience on schemes of a similar value
  • Able to manage, motivate and drive effective outputs from your commercial team
  • Attention to detail as well as strong client interfacing skills
  • Degree qualified, ideally MRICS
  • Structured career history within a Tier 1 contractor environment
