Arguably the UK’s leading highways contractors in the UK has an exciting role for a Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their team!
The role will be based on a key highways framework contract in Suffolk. They have recently secured the project, which will run for the next 6 years with a potential to extend thereafter. The highway civil works involved will revolve around maintenance and upgrade contracts ranging in value up to £3m but forming an overall £45m per annum contract.
The position will see you work closely with the Contracts Director to ensure the framework is being delivered to the targets. The team currently comprises of 7, ranging from Quantity Surveyors through to finance professionals. The role will require you to manage, direct and motivate them to a common goal of delivering the works to the highest standards.
The position will suit someone with the following background:
- Highways / Utilities / Civils framework experience
- Good client interfacing skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
