This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and innovative engineering consultancy which is part of a leading UK construction and regeneration group with a revenue generation in the £billions!

You will be joining a talented and dedicated team of infrastructure design engineers specialising in complex infrastructure, process and built environments across the full project life cycle.

The company has a global reach that includes active major projects in disciplines ranging from architecture to civil and structural, building services, specialist high voltage and process engineering services, programme management and CDM consultancy, etc.

Your day-to-day duties will include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Providing appropriate level of civils design including surface and foul water drainage, levels, earthworks volumes and road alignments / pavement make-ups.
  • Be responsible for the production of detailed civil calculations in accordance with the relevant standards and procedures.
  • Working closely with other members of the design team to deliver safe, efficient and buildable solutions.
  • Collaborating with engineers and technicians from other disciplines, other consultants, etc.            

To be a success in your new role, you should have a demonstrable track record which includes most of the following:

  • Fully conversant with relevant British Standards and Eurocodes with respect to civils design and specification.
  • Microdrainage, Civils 3D, AutoCAD skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of design of site wide infrastructure and earthworks.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations.
  • Knowledge of current UK technical standards/publications and legislation requirements.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure and strict deadlines, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent time and cost management skills to ensure cost effective and accurate delivery.
  • Ability to work well within a team of other professionals from other disciplines in delivering designs to agreed briefs.
