HV Project Manager - Bedfordshire

Are you an electrically qualified Project Manager?

Do you have experience working in the power distribution / high voltage (HV) sector?

Would you like to join one of the UK’s major utility companies?

Calco Services has a fantastic requirement for a Project Manager to join a major player in the HV sector.  The organisation is engaged in a number of long-term power network projects, for example refurbishments and new builds of HV switchouses and cable, transformer and switchgear installation within substations at voltage levels from 11kV, through 33kV and up to 132kV.

Duties:

• Manage site-based operatives working on these HV schemes
• Manage the installation of HV cables, switchgear and transformers
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety on site
• Plan works being carried out
• Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Liaise with clients and meet with them on a regular basis
• Manage financial aspect of projects

Requirements:

• HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• Experience as a Project Manager within the HV sector, ideally having worked on Distribution Network Operator (DNO) projects or with an Independent Connections Provider (ICP)
• Driving licence
• SMSTS (desirable)
• UK Power Networks (UKPN) substation entry (desirable)
