This role for an HV Design Engineer is with a forward-thinking company that has operated within the HV utility and private network sectors for over ten years.  In that time, they have come to be recognised as a provider of expert engineering services related to the design, installation, construction, operation and maintenance of 11kV and 33kV networks. 

The role:

  • High voltage (HV) connection design – 11kV and 33kV
  • Private network infrastructure design – 11kV and 33kV
  • HV/LV underground cable design
  • Switchgear design
  • Put together drawings, reports and design submissions for the Distribution Network Operator (DNO)
  • Earthing systems design
  • Protection design and gradings
  • Design risk assessments

The person:

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in the design of HV / 11kV / 33kV distribution networks
  • HV protection knowledge
