An experienced Health and Safety Officer is required to join one of the UK’s leading housebuilding businesses. The position will involve covering sites in the South East and reporting to Head Office in Surrey. The recent awards and accreditations prove that this sought after employer are top of their game in the housing industry About the Role You will be the key link between the company and appointed contractors ensuring health and safety procedures and practices are adhered to on site. If work life balance is important to you then this opportunity is ideal as you will not be required to work more than 36 hours in 1 week. Although this position is initially a 12-month contract, there could be scope for a permanent fixture following successful completion of contract. The successful Health and Safety professional will be conducting site inspections working closely with sub-contractors and site managers, conducting risk assessments and producing method statements. About You It is imperative you hold a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate along with site based experience within the construction industry for a principle contractor. Knowledge of Construction design management regulations is a prerequisite and it is important to be aware of Health and Safety legislation on a construction site.
