As Head of Direct Maintenance you will be:
Managing and further developing the delivery of Direct Maintenance, ensuring services are customer focused and demonstrate value for money, with a minimal amount of complaints.
Ensuring that the direct maintenance service meets its targets. This would include continually reviewing and developing the delivery of the service, and setting out long term plans for improvement and growth.
Developing a long term approach that ensures the skills, knowledge and experience required to deliver the Direct Maintenance service are in place.
Delivery of compliance with internal and external standards.
Supporting the operational teams in delivering effective performance management at all levels.
You must have experience of management of direct Labour within social housing, this could be Private or public sector.
It is essential that you will be able to manage, lead and motivate and that you have experience in the reduction of complaints and are able to handle budgets appropriately.
You will have experience of working at a strategic level delivering high quality buildings and/ or housing maintenance service, with the commercial and financial acumen to manage a substantial budget.
You will also be able to lead, manage and motivate others to deliver against defined objectives in a demanding customer facing environment, including the management of contracts and relationships with subcontractors.
