A family-run specialist groundworks contractor has identified the need to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor due to an increase in workload. The two senior members of the team that usually oversee the commercial function of their projects are engaged on existing contracts for the foreseeable future, so they need someone in the office to cover the commercial function in pricing and setting up nee projects.

As a Quantity Surveyor, your duties will be to:

• Close out current projects which are due to be completed in the next 3 months
• Use drawings to take off quantity for new projects
• Be a commercial representative of the business including client-facing meetings

The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have a proven background within the groundworks sector. They are looking for someone to start ASAP, so ideally the Quantity Surveyor will be on a week’s notice maximum.

There is a potential for long-term work with this organisation as they are growing as a company and have forecasted a further increase in work.
