This Housing Association was set up in early 2000’s to manage social housing stock on behalf of the Council. They provide day-to-day housing management services to tenants and leaseholders. They are currently looking to recruit a Fire Works Surveyor to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake a full range of pre and post surveying services including project management, quality and cost control, for Fire related projects that form part of the capital and revenue investment programme.
• Deliver repairs service to customers demonstrated by high levels of satisfaction.
• Monitor performance and identify areas of non-compliance to requirements and implement remedial actions for improvement.
• Advise and support residents by resolving their queries and issues, ensuring that their expectations are managed and proactive resolutions are identified.
• Specify, design and provide suitable and cost effective options and choices to leaseholders for delivery of work for consultation and agreement.
• Effectively manage relationships with key contract partnerships and supply chain to ensure contractual, procurement, statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Provide information as required by the Capital Works Delivery Manager regarding individual project performance or for the purpose of answering specific requests.

Essential:

• Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven time management and prioritisation skills.
• Proven experience and ability to deliver excellent customer care and valuing diversity.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets
• Experience of managing refurbishment contracts from inception to final account
• Experience of conducting structural, condition and measured surveys
• Working knowledge of building construction, best practice, regulations and working knowledge of current forms of building contract and implementation
• Experience of managing and monitoring budgets, implementing action plans to address adverse variances

On offer to the chosen Maintenance Surveyor is a salary up to £43,000 with fuel allowance and flexible working.
