The UK fibre rollout is set to be one of the most ambitious and important infrastructure schemes in this country’s history.  This mammoth project will also create thousands of jobs across the whole of the UK.  If you want to be a part of this historic undertaking then read on.

Working for one of the organisations making the full fibre rollout a reality, the Fibre Designer / Planner will be responsible for designing the fibre network – Fibre To The Home (FTTH) / Fibre To The Premises (FTTP). 


  • Design of FTTH / FTTP networks
  • Advise on fibre capacity within the given town or city
  • Work with external companies with regards detailed design of FTTH / FTTP
  • Model fibre networks
  • Co-ordinate with field team and answer any design-related queries
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required


  • Experience and knowledge of fibre design / fibre planning for FTTP and FTTH projects
  • Appreciation of regulations with regards civils works
