A highly respected specialist utilities contractor has identified the need to recruit a Lead Estimator within their pre-construction team to assist in taking the company to the next level. This is a family-run contractor with a fantastic reputation in the market, and for over 50 years they have been the chosen utilities contractor for a range of main contractors and private clients.

As the Lead Estimator, your duties will be:

• Tendering for schemes within the water, power and telecoms sectors – comprising of both frameworks and one-off projects
• Work closely with the Commercial Manager and Managing Director to further develop the newly-introduced power division
• Lead and develop 3-4 junior members of the pre-construction team

The ideal Lead Estimator will have a structured career history working within the utilities sector with a proven track record of successful tenders on both frameworks and one-off schemes, a background in leading Junior members of staff is necessary. A degree within Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Civil Engineering will also be advantageous, or another relevant qualification will suffice.

The Managing Director is looking for an individual that matches the company’s ambitions and can play a key part in achieving company targets. With successful performance in achieving personal and company targets, there will be the opportunity to earn a substantial bonus.
