Electrical Design Engineer - South Glamorgan

This opportunity is perfect for any Electrical Engineers with experience in the design of high voltage (HV) power distribution networks at 11kV – 33kV or new connections.

Working in the major projects team of a leading engineering organisation, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design of electricity distribution systems.

Duties:

• Carry out HV designs up to 132kV, with most projects between 11kV and 33kV
• Ensure new connections and diversion designs comply with the standards set out by the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS)
• Liaise with Distribution Network Operators (DNO), clients and other stakeholders
• Prepare equipment schedules
• Perform network analysis including power systems studies
• Attend meetings related to design progress

Requirements:

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in the design of HV networks for new connections (DNO, consultancy or Independent Connection Provider / ICP)
