Electrical Design Engineer


Salary + Package: up to £50k + 4% pension, mileage allowance (25p per mile), 23 days annual leave excluding bank holidays.

This Electrical Design Engineer opportunity is working for a growing Independent Connections Provider (ICP) with a strong order book of work and some large projects to deliver in 2020/2021. 

They have recently committed to growing their design team and, having recently appointed someone with protection design experience, now require someone to carry out general network designs for high voltage (HV) distribution systems at 11kV and 33kV, as well as primary substation design up to 132kV.

Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design of HV networks and new connections
  • Primary substation design
  • Carry out design reviews
  • Work with internal and external delivery teams
  • Client liaison

Electrical Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Background in primary substation design and new connections
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Comes from a ICP background
  • 11kv/33kv and 132kv experience
  • Driving licence
