Clerk of Works - London - S

This Social Housing provider require a Clerk of Works, for major works planned maintenance and refurbishment of a mixed portfolio of residential property, based to the South of London. There will also be internal and external decoration control.

The successful candidate will work closely with the surveyors managing the projects to ensure all schemes are delivered safely and to the highest standard of workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Site inspections prior to work commencing and at all key stages throughout construction phase and snagging at completion.
• Make recommendations about any aspect of the works which do not conform to plans, specifications or schedules and to keep a constant review of documentation. Also ensuring that works are performed satisfactory and projects stay within agreed costs.
• Ensure that all current health & safety legislation, codes of practice and building regulations are observed at all times by the contractor.
• Monitor the delivery and quality of work carried out, in order to maximise customer experience and satisfaction.
• Carry out a wide range of site inspection across a varied portfolio of property assets.

Projects include decorations to external and communal areas, fire upgrading work, window replacement, re-roofing, electrical work, extensions, structural repairs and full property refurbishments.
