Clerk of Works - Berkshire

An exciting opportunity for a Clerk of Works in the Development team for a Registered Social Landlord (RSL)!

The role will be paying up to £35,000 with a range of benefits including a generous pension scheme, enhanced holiday allowance and all the benefits of working for a Public Sector organisation. 

The duties of the role will be:

• Advising on latent defects that arise post completion of works
• Attending pre-start project meetings and formal site meetings, ensuring that all issues are reported.
• Attend defects inspections, record defects and ensuring that post inspections are carried out to obtain the Certificate of Making Good Defects.
• Making regular site visits and reporting on the work quantity, quality, ensuring works are completed on time and within budget to a high standard
• Liaising with contractors’ site personnel, consultants, staff, residents and stakeholders ensuring that all potential problems arising are dealt with in a timely manner

Essentials Criteria:

• The candidate will need 5 years' experience working within construction 
• To have worked as a Clerk of works or Project manager or foreman
• A valid driving license and transport is essential for this role
• Experience of handling contractors and ensuring that they are performing to the highest level
