Civil Engineering Technical Coordinator (Residential) - London - W

Are you a Civil Engineer with experience of working with either a developer or contractor on large scale residential developments?

Would you like to play a key role within a highly successful design and build contractor?

Are you looking to take the next step in your career to Technical Coordinator?

As Technical Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the following:

  • Appointing consultants for the duration of the project. Consisting of agreeing scope of works, contract/ warranty & fees. Sign off and Control budgets to ensure that the work produced as per contract and in a timely fashion
  • Leading the Design Team closing out and or providing information in a timely fashion to ensure these Actions have been met. This is to ensure no adverse effect on project/programme.
  • Management of the water and waste connections build over legal agreements, and eventual sewer adoption so processing the 106 and 186 section agreements concurrently.
  • Managing highway’s sectional agreements to build new roads/adoptions (S278/38), in both the temporary state and permanent. Developing a relationship with the local authority because of the complexity of creating new roads.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of Civil & Structural design packages.
  • Ensuring the flow of information is timely and accurate through planning and design to be ready for on-site start;
  • Liaising with external consultants and subcontractors to ensure information for working drawings is received on time and is to a high standard;
  • Reviewing and submitting applications for building control, NHBCs, SAP assessments, etc.
  • Attending site meetings as required and resolving all site related queries arising from these meetings;
  • Communicating with the commercial team throughout to ensure quality delivery for the end user whilst remaining profitable for the organisation.

Do you have the following building sector experience?

  • Experience of residential apartments & one off houses
  • Experience of working for a contractor minimum two years
  • Architecturally/ engineer trained;
  • The ability to resolve design issues through innovative and cost-effective solutions;
  • The ability to communicate effectively with external parties (client, consultant, etc.);
  • Be comfortable working across a number of projects at any one time with proven organisation skills.
