This company is looking for a Senior Fire Engineer operating predominantly in central London. They have a wide range of diversified projects throughout all sectors.

The chosen Fire Engineer will be working with a number of the teams from different disciplines within the construction industry utilising a wealth of experience. The successful Engineer will enhance this organisations Fire Engineering department and be working closely with senior management.

The role will be key in the inception of a variety of new and exciting projects ensuring quality and consistency is delivered from the design stage onwards. Your role will involve interactive and collaborative working with other Fire Engineers and with colleagues throughout the multidisciplinary teams.

The Senior Engineer will:

• Understand and implement the principle of fire science on real projects
• Learning to implement and investigate appropriate legislation and design guidance for use on various projects;
• Understanding the total fire concept: from the initial design through to completion
• Raising the technical profile of the Fire Engineering Practice, internally and externally In collaboration with the rest of the design team aim to develop and implement fire strategies;
• undertaking individual fire risk assessments,
• fire engineered analysis including means of escape calculations
• creating fire strategies for whole buildings and other structures
• reviewing and commenting on CFD modelling
• Attending key meetings with the design team offering a proactive input

Successful Senior Fire Engineer will have:

• You will need to have as a minimum BSc (Hons) in a relevant degree subject.
• Chartered membership with the Institution of Fire Engineers or another relevant body
• Extensive experience in delivering fire engineered solutions for UK based projects;
• Clearly understand the total fire concept: from the client brief through to construction and operation;
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

On offer to the chosen Senior Fire Engineer there is a salary up to £75,000 plus a package.
