This Local Authority is looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor to become part of their small New Build Team. 

The Chartered Building Surveyor will report to the Development Manager and will be responsible for delivering their residential and mixed development capital investment projects with values up to £60m. This role as Building Surveyor will see you ensure schemes are achieved within specified cost, time, quality and other performance targets. As the Building Surveyor you will take responsibility to ensure all projects are carried out in accordance with their policies and procedures. Knowledge in standard forms of contract administration especially JCT will be advantageous.

This Chartered Building Surveyor will be able to lead and effectively manage new build construction projects from inception to completion, and to advise on new build technical construction matters. Projects will be primarily be residential but may include some commercial properties.

Successful Chartered Building Surveyor will have:

• Minimum 3 years proven senior experience
• Chartered (RICS or CIOB)
• Degree in Surveying or Construction
• Strong experience in leading and managing a team
• Knowledge of health and safety
• Driving licence

On offer to the chosen Building Surveyor is a salary of up to £45,000 salary with a fuel allowance or a lease car and have flexible working.
