Buyer (Major Infrastructure) - Hertfordshire

An opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading infrastructure companies!

An exciting role has developed for a Buyer to work on a major infrastructure water upgrade in the South East.  The projects will range from standard projects through to complex engineering jobs ranging in values up to £80m.

The role of Buyer will be to influence stakeholders and decision makers to ensure the correct procurement methods are carried out in sourcing both sub-contractors and materials. You will take a key role in conducting tender activities to source new suppliers and sub-contractors who are able to deliver efficiency and quality.  The chosen Buyer will work closely with the pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams in a collaborative manner that results in the work being delivered within the targets set.

The role will suit a Buyer with the following experience:

- 6 + years experience in procurement within the civils or infrastructure sectors

- Strong knowledge of sub-contractors and materials related to the infrastructure sector

- Structured career history

- Ability to work independently and drive change where necessary
