An independent practice of chartered surveyors and property consultants with a diverse client base require an experienced Building Surveyor to join their team.
This well-established practice provide a full range of Building Surveying Services to a diverse and long standing client base. Working with the directors you will be an integral part of the company delivering a wide range of surveying services. This role will allow you to work on a variety of projects and a range of clients from the local Housing Association to one of the world's most notable property portfolios with most of the projects based in within the M25 and mainly in central and southwest London.
This is a great opportunity to join an established but growing consultancy and work on a multiplicity of projects from their offices with free parking and excellent transport links. You will be suitably qualified in a construction qualification but not necessarily chartered, have an in-depth technical knowledge of Building Regulations and Technical Standards, and be up to date with changes to these regulations and related legislation. You will be responsible for the preparation of feasibility reports and budget costs for proposed major works, including roof renewals and external decorations and repairs and internal common part refurbishments. As Building Surveyor you will be responsible for the preparation of specifications, tender documents and tender reports, all tailored to individual client requirements. You will also be responsible for the provision of full contract administration duties, together with monitoring of works, issuing instructions, agreeing valuations and preparation of final accounts to a variety of property types to various clients.
The role also involves the preparation of Schedules of Dilapidations and negotiation of claims, and the negotiation, preparation and publishing of Party Wall Awards. In addition to this you will be responsible for the provision of Building Survey Reports, Home Buyers Reports & Valuations and specific Defect Reports and possess full fee accounting responsibility for all work undertaken.
