An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building surveyor to join a fire team working within the public sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting and progressive company who have sites all across London, and where mobile working is encouraged. The role is a fixed term contract for the duration of a year with a possibility of extension.
As Building Surveyor you will:
Manage a range of improvement works, commissioning and managing a team of consultants to deliver site specific works.
Monitor and write reports on the evaluation of cladding systems, ensuring improvements to existing stock are done to the highest quality
Manage projects which will be a full range of improvement works, including any works required to the cladding which will be specified in consultation with the CH&S team and other stakeholders.
Manage and appoint a team of consultants to undertake the evaluation of ACM and other cladding systems to blocks identified by the Trust as requiring further investigation.
Manage complex projects, utilising strong project management skills and a detailed knowledge of building construction.
Maintain the necessary relevant Trust records and systems providing accurate reports on the service, complaints, and contractor performance.
Ensure your work is delivered in accordance with policies, procedures and standing orders
Essential criteria:
You will have experience working within a public sector organisation, preferably with over 5 years’ current experience within this area
To have worked as a Project Manager or Building Surveyor
Have an extensive knowledge of fire risk
A full, valid driving license and own transport is essential for this role
