This local authority is based in West London and are looking for a Building Control Surveyor to assist the Head of Building Control in the management of the Building Control Departments process. This role as Building Control Surveyor will see you plan checking and technical site works in respect to projects within the borough. Key to this role is ensuring a quality, cost effective, customer focused service which meets the Council's responsibilities and contributes to the Council's Plan.

In this vital role, you will provide a full range of technical advice adhering to all Building Regulations and support to contractors, clients and businesses on a wide variety of complex building control matters. This may include sensitive situations and so your strength in communicating successfully and your highly developed negotiation skills will ensure you are able to reach an agreed resolution within appropriate acts and regulations and adopted policies and within the scope of qualifications and experience on complex matters.

The successful Surveyor will need experience of appraising building regulation submissions on commercial and domestic properties, experience of performing enforcement action and experience of promoting and marketing the Building Control service.

On offer to the chosen Building Control Surveyor is a hourly rate of up to £40 p/h and a long term contract with a fuel allowance, and the option of going perm, offering you job security.
