This local authority is looking for a Building Control Surveyor to assist the Head of Building Control in the management of the Building Control Departments administrative processing. This role as Building Control Surveyor will see you plan checking and technical site works in respect to projects within the borough. Key to this role is ensuring quality, cost effective, customer focused service which meets the Council's responsibilities and contributes to the Council's Plan.

You will also be required to assist the Head of Building Control in respect of all professional matters which are the responsibility of Building Control, and manage the administration of applications.

As the Building Control Surveyor your role is to provide support to the overall management of planning and development, including professional input to the corporate planning, management and decision making processes and representing the borough in matters relating to Building Control to stakeholders and partners outside of the Council.

On offer to the chosen Building Control Surveyor is a hourly rate of up to £32 p/h and a long term contract with a fuel allowance, and the option of going perm, offering you job security.
