Bridge Engineer (Project Manager) - Hertfordshire

New contract job opportunity for an experienced Bridge Engineer or Project Manager with a bridge engineering background.

I have a new contract job opportunity for a Bridge Engineer or Project Manager from a design consultancy background.

You will be engaged on a varied portfolio of Highways England bridge and structures projects.

Key attributes you need to be successful in this role include:

• Structures Design - need to understand the design process (ideally experienced in preparing feasibility reports, preparation of designs for maintenance of structures etc)
• Structures Site Experience (must understand structures construction processes)
• Project Management (Preparation and monitoring of programmes, preparation of fee estimates, checking compliance with QA processes, assisting with scheme identification and prioritisation)
• Contract Management - change control, EWN’s, compensation events etc.  Ideally, experience of working on Highways England contracts (not essential).

This could be a long term opportunity for the right person and you may be required to split your time between Stevenage and Bedford when necessary.
