The Company:

This award winning company has over 5 decades of experience in the demolition industry, supplying a global service to an expanding client base. Due to ongoing demands they are now seeking to recruit a Bid Coordinator to join their pre-construction team of the demolition division.

The turnover of this demolition contractor has increased year-on-year and has exceeded £150m in recent times. They take pride in the fact that they have been awarded several awards for their level of service, ethos and expertise. The demolition projects are ranging between £5-25m in value.

The Bid Coordinator will be based in Farringdon and be involved in the production of tender/PQQ proposals in order to develop their existing client base and to support the Bid Manager.

Bid Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the timely planning, management and completion of the allocated sections of PQQ & tender submissions
  • Planning, writing and coordinating responses to bids, compiling, updating and maintaining a library of company standard tended documentation and model answers.
  • Develop a creative approach to the writing and presentation of bids, reviewing all bid submissions for quality and accuracy.
  • Assist, support and report to the Bid Manager.
  • Have a clear understanding and interpretation of the questions within the PQQ and tender documents.
  • Provide administrative support to the Preconstruction team as required, develop business CV’s of project team tailored to suit prospective projects.
  • Maintain up to date case studies of recent projects.
  • Upload tender/PQQ documentation to internal intranet system.

Bid Coordinator requirements/experience:

  • High accuracy of data input
  • Planning and excellent time management due to working to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track record of bid writing/coordinating.
  • Construction experience preferred but not essential.

IT Literate in:

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Adobe Creative Suite (preferred but not essential)
