Assistant Retail Project Manager

Based West London (W12)

Rate to 300 per day

This leading developer is looking for an Assistant Retail Project Manager to be responsible to assist with the lead delivery of projects within stable centres as allocated and directed by the Retail Delivery Director.

 

Retail Delivery is defined as the management, facilitation, co-ordination and communication of all aspects relevant to ensure that:

1.  Tenancies are delivered on time to Tenants and are fully compliant with the requirements of their Agreements For Lease.

2.  Tenants deliver, on time, their tenancies complete with the agreed fit-outs, ready to trade and fully compliant with the requirements of their Agreements For Lease.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish/maintain effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout the delivery of a project.
  • Prepare and present reports. Monitor the progress of all aspects of the retail delivery and formally report to the Retail Delivery Director on a regular basis; in a format to be agreed and which can be used to report back to the business on progress of the Retail Delivery works.
  • Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team.
  • Monitoring and applying performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance.
  • Managing the flow of project information between the Tenant, Leasing, Development, Design & Construction, & Centre Management.
  • Coordinate and chair weekly Tenancy update meetings with all parties

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Relevant Degree and 5+ years relevant experience.
  • SMSTS 5 day or Nebosh Health and Safety training is desirable
  • A valid CSCS Card – Black level is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in a customer/client-facing environment
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office software (particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Experience of leading project management commissions for medium to large sized projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Knowledge and experience of retail development, including an appreciation and understanding of the retail trading environment.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and methodology relating to shopping centres and shopfitting generally.
  • An understanding of cost management functions, and knowledge of cost controls & performance measures, including construction trends, & practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of health and safety and CDM legislation and issues
