Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Major Civils)

Salary:  to £40k + package

Based:  Hull / East Riding (HU8)

Arguably the UK’s fastest growing and dynamic civils contractors requires a Quantity Surveyor for 1 of 2 major civils schemes in Yorkshire!

They are delivering a large portfolio of civils work in Yorkshire and are keen to strengthen the commercial team.  They have 2 key contracts that have been awarded in the past year that will have the specific needs of a Assistant Quantity Surveyor.  The work will comprise of complex groundworks, structures, remediation and excavation.  Both projects are on renewable energy schemes.

The suitable Assistant Quantity Surveyor will take commercial control of packages along with supporting on larger packages which range in value up to £10m per package.  The suitable AQS will be responsible for reporting into the Project Commercial Lead.  Following these contracts they have a number of works in the pipeline that they are confident of securing so the role would suit an individual looking for a long term career prospect where they can progress.  The companies project portfolios range from £500k through to £300m, working as both a principal and specialist contractor.

The suitable Senior Quantity Surveyor will ideally have the following experience:

• Civils and structures experience
• NEC experience would be beneficial
• Commercially astute
• Client interfacing skills
