Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Heavy civils)

Salary:  to £35k + package

Based:  Hull (HU1)

About the Project:

An Assistant Quantity Surveyor is required for a major, complex and highly prestigious engineering project is being undertaken in Hull.  Our client is delivering a key element of the contract with works amounting in the region to £50m.  They will be using some of the most modern and technically challenging techniques that the UK has seen.

About the Role:

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within a small commercial team supporting the Lead Quantity Surveyor in the daily commercial activities of the project.  Daily tasks will be to manage and control sub-contractors, as well as co-ordinate and work with the principal contractor / client closely.  The project will be delivered under NEC Option E.

About You:

• Ideally BSC, MSc or HND level Qualification or working towards
• Ideally Have worked with the NEC Contract
• Be able to manage / spot Change on the project
• Good client interfacing skills
• Commercially astute and able to work with sub-contractors
