A major global player within the infrastructure sector has been awarded one of the most prestigious HS2 packages of work. The work will see them deliver market leading engineering solutions to ensure the project will be delivered on time and within budget. In order to deliver this project, which is being provided under a Joint Venture, they are looking to hire an Assistant Design Manager to work in conjunction with the Design Manager – External Works, to manage the delivery of Utilities design to achieve a high quality, safe, compliant and timely design at the lowest achievable cost. You will work across the full scope of Utilities including major works in Euston Road, Eversholt Street and the Utilities Corridor, and other works to mitigate impact of ground movement.
To be considered for this role the successful Assistant Design Manager – Utilities will have the following background and experience:
- Experience within a design management environment ideally within a civils setting.
- Experience of the subject matter, i.e. infrastructure and utilities diversions
- Educated to degree or higher level or equivalent in a numerate discipline, typically Engineering discipline (or related). A lower educational level, typically HNC or HND, may be acceptable where experience in a technical engineering role can be demonstrated
- Working towards Professional Chartered membership of the Institute of Civil Engineering or equivalent UK/international equivalent professional status.
