Assistant Buyer - Essex

An established contractor that operates in Essex and surrounding areas has identified an opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join their Procurement team. Since the new year, they have had several enquiries to deliver groundworks and concrete solutions to a mix of existing and new clients, so they choose exactly which jobs they want to win.

This is company has been at the top of their game for over four decades building a reputation of delivering high standard projects on time whilst following strict health and safety procedures.

As an Assistant Buyer, your duties will be to:

• Assist the Procurement team in buying materials from suppliers
• Help to find new suppliers that the business could benefit from
• Ensure that supplies are delivered to site on time and in accurate quantities 

The ideal Assistant Buyer will have previous experience within the construction industry with a passion to build a long-standing career with a leading contractor. Knowledge of concrete and/or groundworks materials would also be advantageous.
