Associate Director – Project Management

A global consultancy business focused on providing high-quality construction consultancy, programme and project management, cost management and management consultancy services.
The Role:
You will act as Project Leader and Team Leader including developing the project management function within the Amsterdam office. The position will also include management duties such as recruitment of staff and development of local client base in Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands.
- Ensure adequate and economical resources are allocated to Projects.
- Manage Project Team and acts as Project Director and high level contact for Clients.
- Prepares submissions and bids for new business.
- Take an active leading role in specific areas such as BMS, CSR, Training, 2+2=5 etc.
- Responsible for budgetary control and invoicing.
- Development of project management functions within European part of the client's business, based in Amsterdam.
- Travel throughout Europe to support Client's needs.
- Involvement in the development of the European part of the business, including marketing support and Client care
- Ensuring consistency of service is provided on all commissions in Netherlands
The Person:
- Strong command of the English language.
- Experience of working closely with the
- Experience of managing a team of Project Managers
- Experience of developing a business or business unit in Project Management
- A Member of professional organisation/association such as Dutch Royal Institute of Engineers
- Additional European language capability an advantage, but not essential
- Ability to work as part of a team and also under own initiative
