We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Drainage Engineer to develop their career with a team that successfully resolves challenges presented by the built and natural environment. In this role you will be at the forefront of drainage innovation, leading a team on major highways schemes and reporting directly to the project manager and at the same time tackling of issues such as sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
This is a position within a market leading UK Engineering consultancy involved in the design of major highway infrastructure projects for the Highways Agency, Transport for London, major contractors and developers.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Provide technical leadership in respect of drainage design to managers within transportation engineering
Work with clients to develop and promote highway drainage schemes through all stages of development from inception to construction completion
Assist with the development of the department's drainage design capability
Assist with staff development
We need you to be either Chartered / near Chartered (ICE) or Incorporated Engineer and have experience of using Highways Agency's design standards. You need experience of highway drainage design at feasibility and detailed design stages and experience in the use of Microdrainage or WinDes. An understanding of MX and AutoCAD (preferable) and good written and verbal communication skills.
