Building Surveyor

An opportunity to provide professional building surveying skills to maintain, refurbish and undertake new build projects, has arisen with a local council based in West London.
The role will involve manage schemes, in particular within the Corporate Planned Maintenance Programme and Disability Discrimination Act programme, and to liaise with and advise all staff in the division, clients, other council staff, central government staff, contractors and consultants, and have a strong background in CAD.
Ideal candidates should:
- Be RICS (preferred, but not essential depending upon experience)
- Be highly proficient in CAD (essential)
- Have experience of managing works in occupied properties
- Have knowledge of health and safety legislation as applied to construction
- Have an ability to design, specify and draw building works to the latest regulations.
- Have an ability to diagnose building faults and propose solutions
