Senior Policy Planner

Senior Policy Planner required to join a local authority in Norfolk on a permanent basis.

You will have at least 3 years UK policy experience gained within a similar role. Your duties will consist of you assisting with and developing The Local Development Framework, which will eventually replace the council's district local plan. The LDF will have intentions to support the areas communities to ensure that there are economically prosperous, have decent homes at affordable prices, and that the community enjoy a well designed, accessible and pleasant living and working environment. You will have excellent communication skills as you will be participating with professionals from all levels. Other duties will consist of you assisting with inquiries from members of the public, participating in public enquiries and in addition dealing with planning applications which may affect the local policy, so it will be desirable but not essential for you to have some relevant Development Control experience.

Must have a degree in planning or equivalent and hold a full UK's drivers licence.
