Senior Cost Manager (Rail Projects - Stations)

An international cost and project management consultant that continues to maintain a family orientated atmosphere is looking to strengthen their London based rail teams. Currently they are delivering pre contract and post contract commission management services on the Kings Cross Network Rail refurbishment project. For this particular project they need a Quantity Surveyor to interface with the client on a day to day basis ensuring that the client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added cost management service.

The station refurbishment project is valued at £450m and will involve the re-development of the existing station, including the refurbishment of a listed building office space, refurbishment of existing platforms and concourses, provision of new bridge access to platforms, replacement of the train shed roof, construction of a new service yard, construction of a new signature architect designed glazed entrance and ticket hall.

Skills & Experience

  • 2 stage tender experience
  • Station Refurbishment Experience
  • Knowledge of JCT Contracts
  • Ability to write commercial management strategies and procedures.
  • Station modernisation and refurbishment.
  • Cost Planning
  • MRICS advantageous or a Degree in a related discipline
