Building Surveyor

Working with this Housing Association you will provide a surveying service for temporary accommodation managed properties, providing technical support to the department in managing landlord repairs and leasehold issues.

You will be responsible for checking the quality of contractors' work through inspection and by contacting residents and Project managing complex repairs or minor projects.

Key responsibilities will be to inspect new acquisitions to ensure that the properties meet standards set by the Association, Local Authorities and other relevant bodies and provide recommendation to the Acquisitions Team. Also you will inspect tenant properties at the request of the Housing Officers/Team Leaders/Housing Manager or in response to complaints from the local authorities/solicitors and other third parties and provide reports and recommendations for remedial action.

A background in social housing is required.
