The opportunity:

Take a leading role in setting team objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player.

Coordinate the activities of the project team members.

Prepare a detailed Project Execution Plan.

Identify the requirements at the start of a project and manage accordingly.

Identify which Consultants are required for the Project as early as possible and advise the Client on appointment dates.

Manage the budget application process.

Work with the Client to develop Design Briefs and Scope of Services for Consultants.

Gain confidence of the Client and become the focal point for communication.

Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner, meeting, negotiating and corresponding with Client's forming a strong working relationship in true partnership.

Management of Tender process, pre-qualification, selection of consultants.

Prepare tender evaluation report & prepare recommendation for final approval from client.

Foster collaboration between all parties ensuring that there is a mutual goal of delivering the project to the client.

Management of the design phase of assigned projects in co-ordination with the engineers and consultants.

Attend and when required chair all kick off, progress, co-ordination, design and construction meetings and provide the relevant meeting minutes.

Manage the design from concept through to contract award.

Ensure the Client's Safety, Security and Quality assurance/control and environmental policies and responsibilities required for the project are properly implemented.

Preparation of monthly progress reports for review and approval.

Perform Value engineering exercises in conjunction with other consultants and make recommendations to Client in relation to time/cost/quality.

Manage risk through the duration of the project informing and advising the Client at all times.

Develop along with other Consultants and recommend to the Client strategies for the procurement of equipment, services, materials and the construction of the Project.

Manage all Consultants through the post contract stages and defects liability stage.

Develop strategic programmes and oversee the Consultants' and Contractors' construction programmes, and regularly review these at meetings.

Communicate completion of project milestones to accounting to insure timely invoices to client.

Responsibility for project contract execution and effectively communicating contract and project scope details to all team members.

Responsibility for managing the Client's expectations and delivering these through clear strategy and proactive commitment.

Serve as the team leader for project execution according to corporate policy, procedure manual and contract document.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified - construction related
  • Chartered
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Good presentation skills
  • Management skills
  • Experience of PM in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of fundamental PM systems and procedures in the construction industry
